Safety Job One

We took an afternoon zip with southshore purchased with the booth in front of thirsty turtle at 52.00 per person includes pick up and drop off at bananarama (by land taxi) air conditioned ride for about 15 min or less there was only 4 in the tour and got a guide for each couple they are very safety concience and explained everything not rushing or rude or pushy they love their job or at least make it seem that way.....

The views are fantastic very high above the trees and give great view to the ocean twin cable with hand control brake they take your photo about 20 times or more on your camera decent shots but they expect a tip of 20.00 maybe this is why they like the job so much a 20 tip is like a days wage ( so we where told and they go out mor than once a day you do the math) all in all i would highly recommend the southe shore canopy group i was very impress with the quality of everything

My husband and I visited Roatan last week and had a great time. One of the highlights was the zip line/canopy tour offered by South Shore Canopy. It was located about 5 to 10 minutes away from the small beach town of West Bay where we were staying and was easy to get to. Once we were there, I became nervous. It was no problem, though because one of the guides attached himself with me and took me along with him. This ended up being a better experience I think because he was so entertaining, even stopped in the middle of the line for photo ops and iguana watching. The view from the mountainside was beautiful. The guides were really professional and safe, but fun at the same time. They took about 25 photos of my husband and I and learned to use our camera better than us in only a couple of minutes. I highly recommend the zip line, and this one in particular!

Best canopy tour

My friends and I just got back from the Carnival Legend. Since Carnival does not offer a shore trip for zip line in Roatan someone suggested we use Shoretrips.com. They booked us with South Shore Canopy tours and we had the best time ever!!! We had four great guides on our trip thru the canopy. They were very helpful and a lot of fun. They took my camera and video camera and would make sure they were ahead of my group. They took great pictures and video of us on the zip line so we could just enjoy the ride and have pictures to show after. I let everyone on the ship know about this trip and I have told everyone back home. I also informed my travel agent so she could recommend South Shore to others going to Roatan.

Thanks again for a wonderful adventure, hope to fly again in the future.

South Shore Canopy Tour was Fantastic

Simply breath taking! We weren't just 20-30 feet off the ground, we were anywhere from 40 to 100 feet above the valley floor, going back and forth across the jungle tree tops on 40 to over 800 foot runs! I wasn't scared because the guides were careful and more importantly there were double cable systems completely throughout. Even if one cable failed you were still connected to the second cable. And the concrete anchors for each zip-end were huge and solid. I'm a Toronto Fire fighter with high angle rescue training and these guys did their harnesses right. A beautiful and fun adventure.

Best Zip Line on Roatan

We visited South Shore Canopy Tours with two adults and two teens and we all had a blast. We went on a Saturday which was perfect, no cruise shippers! Our guides told us that they are very busy on cruise ship days so avoid those days, if you can. Our guides were great! They were very conscientious and unrushed. I felt very safe and comfortable. One of the guides took our camera and took LOTS of photos of us and even a video. The views are beautiful! We did individual, tandem and even an upside-down run down one of the zip lines. It was fantastic! We all had a great time and highly recommend South Shore.

Highlight of the Trip

My wife,son and myself just got home from our cruise. We all agree that our zipline tour on Nov 4th was the highlight of the trip. My wife said "I want to do something completely out of the norm on this trip" She is deathly afraid of heights and this definately was her way of facing that fear. Not only did she do this and enjoy herself but Preston went out of his way to make sure she enjoyed herself. I do believe if we were there any longer she would have left me for him. .

As most everyone else here has said they are very safety concious and made sure we all enjoyed our time. My biggest concern was that I might be to heavy for this, I weight over 300 pounds. I not only was able to enjoy the time but they made sure I was comfortable while doing it. Thanks again South Shore we now have something to talk about for many many years. I am already looking forward to a future trip to Isle Roatan so we can partake in this adventure again.

Oh and this is not just for the young but the young at heart. We had one gentleman in our group that was 74 years young and he had as much if not more fun then my 11 year old son.

Last but not least save the money and book directly with the owner not the cruiselines. We were treated very nicely and the companies driver took us to some nice shops after we were done so anyone who wanted to shop could do so without paying high prices back at the port. Then when we were done they dropped us back directly at the port where we still had plenty of time to shop, drink and explore.

For price, fun and safety these guys were top notch.

We are so glad we found you on line and did not book thru Carnival Cruise Line. Your guides were the best right from the start with the bus driver who picked us up at the boat, to the guys on the lines, and the driver back to the boat. We will definitely return to do this again.

If there were 6 stars, this tour would deserve them!! Our friends surprised us with this tour as a gift for our anniversary and my 40th bday and I must say, it was an AWESOME gift!! The driver, Alvin, cooled the van off before we all got in, his tour of the island was great and landmarks he pointed out were nice for all of us. He stopped along the way for a few photo opportunities and then it was on to the Zip Line Tour...what a freaking BLAST!! the Guides made us all feel very comfortable, they were fun and very good at their jobs. After the awesome Zip Line tour we were then taken to Fosters Beach where we enjoyed snorkeling and some local food/beverages. Then it was time to go back to the Cruise Ship and Alvin finished his tour and dropped us off on time!!! I would HIGHLY recommend this company and their Zip Line and/or Beach Tour!!! Thanks again to the staff at South Shore Zip Line!!!
